This Week The Foundation Highlights How it Leverages Partnerships on Behalf of the 19 Historically Black 1890 Land-Grant Universities
(Washington, DC) — The 1890 Universities Foundation (“The Foundation”) was established to support the core 1890 mission of education, outreach, and research across the nineteen 1890 land-grant universities in the United States. It is organized and operates as a 501(c)3 charitable higher educational organization.
The Foundation is celebrating its 5th Anniversary during the week of February 21-25, 2022, with a week of virtual events to highlight how partnerships are making an impact on transformational programs, outreach initiatives and academic research to move the mission of the 1890 universities forward.
The 1890 Universities Foundation mobilizes and manages resources to facilitate broad based programs, initiatives, and approaches across the 1890 Universities system. The Foundation provides a mechanism for the collective of universities to respond to new and emerging issues and challenges in the 21st century.
