During this year's annual National HBCU Week Conference, facilitated by the White House Initiative on HBCUs, we present a discussion on "The Value of HBCUs In The 21st Century: A Conversation to Leverage 1890 Universities, Research and Innovation HBCUs for the Next Generation." As the nation enters a new phase of uncertainty through pandemic, rising social tensions and an intensifying climate crisis, many Historically Black Colleges and Universities, especially 1890 Land Grant HBCUs, are poised to rise to the challenge. What are the advantages and opportunities? How do we tap into and maximize them?
